ignition timing?

Default ignition timing?

on a 5th gen lude, does anyone know if its possible to adjust the ignition timing at the distributor? I tried and couldnt seem to do it like I used to on my other cars, someone told me you cant do it like that on the ludes, is that true or not?

No you cant adjust the timming because the OBD II ECU will recorrect the timing back to stock. You will have to either switch to an OBD I or buy an aftermarket ignition that has timming adjustment.

Although I heard if you do the paper clip trick and put it in diagnostic mode then adjust the timming that it will work, but I haven't tried it yet.

nope it wont work....... obd2 has fixed timing. the prelude obd2 is especially tough........ it will correct vafc settings to make it run stock

the dizzy is rigidly mounted to the head... you cannot turn it.
