Default Need help on change clutch fluid...

I know the steps on how to change the clutch fluid, but just don't know where the bleed valve is. Can someone give me a detailed description of where it is and what it is looked like?

Also, I heard there should be a bleed valve and a bleed bolt, are they the same thing or I need to unbolt the bleed bolt to get access to the bleed valve?

Thanks,

You need to use a 10mm wrench on the bleeder valve that's located on the slave cylinder. It's the little "thing" that is where the hydraluic line goes into and is bolted to the tranny. So, just loosen the bleeder valve, and have someone pump the pedal until clear, just like brakes.

Thanks, Bakeoff. I understand that part I guess, but I just want to know where the bleed valve/slave cylinder is located. I kind of know if you look from the front of the car it should be on the left, but need to know exactly where it is located. If you can give me a detailed description on what it looks like or how I can locate it, that would be great.

I really have no idea where it is, have you tried asking in another thread? Possibly the nice folks in Engine Tech could help ya.

I even tried doing a google search for some pics/info for you and didn't find anything.

Find your front engine mount. Looks to the left of the mount. The slave cylinder is a small black metal thing with a rubbr boot on the left side. Should be between the tranny and radiator fan. It has one hard line connected to it. The bleed nipple sticks off the front, towards the radiator. I'm pretty sure the nipple requires an 8 mm wrench to tighten/loosen.
