what to buy
1. the z is a HEAVY ASS car
2. parts seem to be hard to get for it.
3. yes, the z is more powerful but it is a heavy car and aftermarket parts are more expensive for it and the non- turbo shouldn´t be much faster than a Prelude VTEC
4. also not many mechanics are used to working on z's since not many ppl have them. ie. if u live out in bumfu**ville chances are there isn´t a mechanic who knows how to work on the z
I´ve copied and pasted the sentences above from another forum so these ARE NOT my words!

actually a tt 300 will absolutely kill a prelude, um i thought that was common sense. given that, i'd still rather have a prelude, 300's tend to age really badly and its a ***** to repair. the way nissan made that engine...its just horrible, to get to the turbos u have to take the whole engine out etc. trust me, my bro has a 300 tt. nothin but trouble.
The 300zx wheter tt or n/a look killer but just regular parts (not aftermarket) are super expensive.Think about it this wa a Japanese supercar so any one who could afford to buy one new could also afford parts fo it.There was a n/a 300zx it was a 94 with a body kit ,lowered intake and exhaust and it was only running mid 16's(quarter mile),that's not that great. In my opinion if you stick with Honda you'll be happier they're easier to maintain, work on and parts both OEM/aftermarket are everywhere. The coice is yours hope you make the right one.
