Default check engine code 1 .. translate?!

heh.. anyone know what to do about a code 1?

i have a 5th gen, and did the paperclip trick.. only got one short blink.

any suggestions, or do i have to take it to a shop? is this a bad code to get? should i stop driving until i get it fixed?

usa fawked jk i have no clue but i dont think its to serious just reset the ecu

reset means take the wires off the battery, let it sit for a moment, then take them off, right?

i did that.. and it worked for about a day, then the atts and check engine light came back on randomly.

Yes thats what it means to reset your ECU...Check and make sure your O2 sensors are hooked up in your header, and catalic convertor...They may be disconnected or just gone bad

i'm kind of a n00b when it comes to underthe hood.. i know what most of the engine stuff and the internals in all, but once you wonder else where, i'm still learning

well if you have access to a lift you can see the o2 sensor right down by the catalytic converter and it should be plugged in.....if you dont have access to a lift you may have to crawl up under there to see it lol
