Default 92 Si dies right after start-up!

hey everyone!

just started recently...when i start my 92 Si sometimes, a second later the motor shuts off and all power to the car is killed - requiring turning the key to the 'Off' position and then back to starting, where it will run fine then. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Had basically the same problem with my 90 hatch, in that case it was a PGM-FI relay. They are affected by heat when they are going bad, and the heat in a car's interior on a sunny day is enough to not allow the car to start.

If all of the power goes off, I'd suggest a main relay or maybe an ECU problem.

i'm thinking it may be the ignition switch, something to do with the ignition system. I'll have to pull the relays and see what's up. thanks. more input would be much appreciated!
