Default apexi n1 exhaust any good... ?

hm.. thinking about trading in my apex'i WS catback for apex'i single n1...

read that the ws is more for midrange, and the n1 is for high end.. and great if you have a turbo.

wondering if you all could provide me with some first hand info... thanks!

I like the mugen. Try to find one used and you can usually get a slight price break.

I like the sound and the look ... not sure what gains it got, but the other two are important to me. I didn't want people to hear me coming from 5 miles away with my rpm's at 2k.

my car looks fine like it is.. i dont really wanna spend a ****load of money on an exhaust just 'cus it looks good. i could just buy a nice exhaust and spend that extra money on other engine stuff.

Default N1

i Just installed 2.5 N1 exaust on 98 lude base (SH are heavy)
the gains are their in the upper power band and yes when v tec engages the exaust screams. However when crusing at 3-4 grand the sound is not all that loud in the car, outside is another storty. I am extremely happy with the low sound produced and the look of the exaust and the gains in the power. As much S**t as ppl talk about the loudness i do not find it all that bad its a comfortable tone not to loud and not to quite and its a good pitch which does not give you a head ache as some weed wacker exaust do.

N1 is a great exaust for the price and quality

N1 is a great exhaust. I just installed one on my friends SH and at WOT, the baby screams! The performance is good and if you ever decide to turbo your ride, it will even help scavange more power for you. Great all around exhaust. But yes it is loud. I think you best spending your money on a tried and true exhaust setup, rather then some custom jobby from Jimmies Muffler Shack.

The Greddy EVO exhaust is great too... Especially if you live in California. The cops don't bug as much.
