H&R Spring install !!HELP!!!
Real simple-go and either buy or rent a spring compressor to start with. Make sure you have a good jack and a set of stands. A torque wrench is also very desireable as you need it anyway for the lug nots (80 foot pounds for them) The top hats are torqued to 28 foot pounds.
There are 2 or 3 nuts on the top of the towers that you need to remove in order to drop the shock/spring/hat assembly out. DO NOT untighten the shock at this time. Under neath will be obvious as to getting the shocks out. You may need to use some PB Blaster on the bolts that hold the shocks (rear) and forks (front) on.
Once off the car-use the spring compressor to hold the springs while you undo the shock top nuts. I am assuming you will also replace the shocks, which is a good idea anyway. Make sure to follow the directions about cutting the 'bumpstops'-this is very important. Most people cut them to about 2/3 their original size.
Reassemble everything and torque all of the bolts and nuts to spec. Drive car and go to an alignment shop and have that done so as to reduce tire wear (Toe-in will need reset). The printout-ask for it-will tell you if you need camber kits.
Good luck
