Default Lost my only key
Can anyone tell me how to remove the ignition cylinder to bring it to a locksmith to have a key made? is there an easier way? I JUST bought this 1981 Prelude, and lost the only key. thanks for your help

Default key combo
the hard way: cut a slit in the lock cylinder headless bolts, and remove cylinder.....

or

take the title to honda parts dept, and get a key made from the VIN

remember, you'll need to get a chipped key, cause if you have a regular key, it won't work

what? I don't think that his 81' prelude has a chipped key. Wow, "no child left behind" huh bro. Just breaking your balls bud, not intended to offend

It's easier to pull off the trunk lock cylinder.


I dont know if honda has key code information stored for cars that old.

does ur prelude have the locking trunk release by the driver seat? i think that would be easier to pull out than any other lock

I just had a new key made from mazda for my 93 rx7, they should have vin's stored for that old
