Default Valve chatter.......

I think one of the valves is possibly bent and/or getting stuck..... how would I know or how would I go about checking this?

I took off the valve cover and adjusted the valves I thought were the problem.... I managed to change the pitch of the tap/tick/whatever but I can't get it to go away. I'm also burning a lot of oil. how would I replace the valves? I think it might be time to do that.

@_@ I'm lost. How do you tweak a valve cover? I can tweak a valve. I can tweak my amp. and I can Freak-a-leak. but this tweak of which you speak, I am lost about.

now I'm hearing it's my lifters...... how hard is it to replace or repair the lifters? I know the noise is coming from the cylinder 4 area.
