Default Stock radio

I pulled out a stock radio off a 97 Prelude, is it true that I will need a security code in order for the radio to be able to work in another car eventhough there was no security code set up in the car the radio was pulled of from????

Thanks!!

Yes. You will need the anti-theft code for the Prelude radio.

It doesn't matter which car / truck/ horse & buggy it's going into...without the code, the Prelude radio will not work.

:ugh: Umm....

Since the code doesn't change... it would be wise for your friend to write the code down and keep it safe.

The code is usually on a sticker in the trunk between the rear speakers, at least that's where mine is.
