Default why is my car eating so much gas???

When I first got my prelude, a year ago, I was getting about 30 mpg. then it dropped to about 25, now its around 20. why is my gas goin so quick??

what year, how many miles, what engine, and how do you drive it-highway,city, like a race car?

its a 93 prelude with an H23. I drive mostly on the highway. I dont really race much but there are those times every once in a while

how many miles? you might do a compression test to be sure that the engine itself (internals-piston rings + valves are sealing good) low compression hurts milage, and if comp. is low then you may be wasting your money trying to increase mileage. assuming comression is good, here are some things to check for--- plugged air filter, restricted exhaust (cat-con, pinched exhaust tubing ect.), high resistance plug wires/plugs/cap/rotor, vaccum leaks, low tire pressure, frozen brake calipers, or a failing/miscalibrated sensor causing a rich air fuel mixture. check 'em all
