simple. IACV. my integra did the same thing. cleaned out the IACV and tightened it up, problem solved.

your IACV is bad. my teg did this. my friend myron showed me a work around. we cleaned the IACV, then he tightened it, but not all the way. stuck it back in and the car idles perfectly...

well at least it did till i sold it. no clue what its doing now :)

i cleaned out the iacv and idle still bounces...i found a vacuum and it still bounces so my boy told me to take the intake off ands plug the top hole on the throttle with my finger and then the car runs fine. so i geuss i have to bypass the cold start. what do u think???

TheImportsRacer 03-13-2007 10:27 PM

mines the exact sam way. i plug that hole and the idle is fine. i need to find out how to bypass that and id be good.

well there is a ivac on the front of manifold... i pulled mine out and cleaned it with some carb cleaner and it running alot better... and i cleaned the throttle body..... i also bypassed the cold start..which is take the hoses off the ivac both under the throttle body and the one on the manifold. simple i just ran the hose from the block back to the block..any qeustions just ask

do you have pictures on how you bypassed the cold start? if i do that im sure ill solve my idle problem, as i thnk thats what my friend did with my integra...

it's real simple to do......... first make sure your antifreeze isn't hot.... alright there is two hoses going to the bottom piece attached to the throttle body.. i believe it's ur ivac.....there is also anothere i vac i think is is anyway but it's on the front of the manifold...it's held on by two bolts.. simple get rid of the hoses....(should also clean these parts with some carb cleaner.while u have them off).....basically check to see how the hoses run.... after that find where it comes from on the block and also where it goes back to the block...once u find that all u have to do is take one of the hoses u just took off and find one long enough to run from block to block...i would keep all the stuff u took off for winter time to reverrse the process.. any more qeustions feel free to ask
