Default 4WS problem

The 4ws doesnt always turn on when I start my lude. When the engin is cold it works but when the engin is hot it doesnt always turn on. I also noticed that when i drive with the 4ws light on for several minutes then shutting the car off and starting it right up again the 4ws works fine. Could this be a problem with the 4ws module?

What year is your car? The 4WS on my '88 is mechanical - there's really no way for it to "not work" aside from some mechanical failure. I can't speak for other generation preludes, since this is the first (and last) Honda I'll ever have, but that's what I know.

You might need to resolder the relays in the 4ws control unit. I was having the same problem and that took care of it.
