Default question about cat

I have a brand new DC sports header/downpipe and greddy EVO2 exhaust. Am i losing any power by having a stock cat converter inbetween them. If so what should i be looking at?

if its catback you should be alright

But usually a straight pipe yields a little more gain

If your engine is mostly stock (just bolt-on mods) then you are better off having some restriction in the exhaust.

the stock cat doesnt become a restriction until the engine is movie lots of air

Perhaps, but as compared to a high-flow catalytic converter, and the exhaust mods already in place, the stock unit is going to give better restriction. Geez...
