Default Apexi ws2...not to happy

So I just had my ws2 installed the other day and I am alittle disapointed. I did 2.25'' pipe from the header back. It is just to loud, even has that ricer bizz to it . The whole reason I went with apexi ws2 is because I thought it had a lower tone and wasn't to loud. I have heard it on a 5th gen and it sounded great . So do you guy think it is because I dropped the cat or is 2.25'' giving it to much flow causing the rice buzz? would a resonator give me back the deeper tone I am looking for. Err!:eh:

what are you running in place of the cat? put it back on if you're running a test pipe. the piping should actually be 2.36'' which is standard for those exhausts.

60mm I know. but I didnt want to over do it and lose back pressure. I have strait piping from the header back. The place I got it done asked if I wanted to get rid of the cat and I figure why buy a high flow cat when I can just go strait piping... so here I am.

you don't have a resonator on the piping either?

The problem is the lack of a cat. The Stock WS2 should have a resenator. I have it on my Civic with a D16z6 and it is perfect.

if u wanted quiet the rsr would have been your best bet! but the apexi should be very quiet too, put a carsounds or similar cat on and youll be fine.
