Default h22a4 mileage?

hey, whats the most miles that you guys have seen on a h22a4 when it was taken care of and not driven hard all the time? cause someone at an engine swap place said they wont make it to 200K no matter what you do its just the engine and that the b16 is a far more reliable engine, is this true?

Well I have heard my share of stories with the H22 sucking down a ton of oil. Mines at 67k and it's running fine, I take at most a 1/2 quart of oil between changes, changing at 4k.

well, it makes thi wird noise below 3,000 rpm like there is no oil, it eats about 2 and a half quarts every 3,000 miles, it shuts off sometimes while i'm driving, and it just doesn't seem like it will go over 150,000 miles without some major major work.

What year is your car? Any mods? Was it always yours, and did you always take care of it correctly?

Mine is a 98, has almost every bolt-on mod you can put on it, 85K miles, and still runs like the day I bought her.

no car can be perfect, but compared to other cars honda has a reputation of building long lasting good cars. if u take care of the car it should last you a long time. im not saying all of them are perfect (of course some will have problems) but it is a good investment if u want a good reliable car.
