Got a question on the style of the Prelude 5th gen grilles...

I know the grilles are different, but I'm not sure which year they were changed, was it in 99 or 2000?

I would like to get the nicer looking mesh-style grille, that appears to come on the newer preludes.

I thought I had seen some on ebay before, but now all I can find is regular ones (I guess type-s grilles) but they look the same as mine, the 97 grille.

I would like to order one from Honda, since I cannot find one on EBAY, but I just wanted to make sure they were USDM OEM parts for the newer preludes, not JDM parts... I've seen them on US preludes though so I'm thinking I can get one thru the dealer.

Anyone ever do this?

It looks like it has the same hatch type pattern as my Bro's 02 Civic Si...

I would imagine it will just bolt on in the same place, right?

Also, I should have mentioned it, I'm not talking about the Grille-craft style mesh grilles (metal)... I'm looking to get the stock OEM Honda piece off of the newer preludes, just like you have shown in the pic...

What year(s) so I can make sure I get the right part?

The grille looks alot better than the regular slot-style on the 97-98...

Also, I thought I saw on EBAY or wherever, someone replaced the "prelude" moniker on the grille with a nice "ATTS" in bright red. Do you know where I could get this badge?

I was going to order from Hondaautomotiveparts.com. (pretty good site) but when I looked at the grilles for the 97 and the 01 preludes, the part numbers only differed by one digit, and it looked to me like they might send me the one I already have... Although the price was different...

If its off by one digit ad you purchaes the 01 grille then it should be the honeycomb grille. And heres a link for the ATTS badge

A little expensive don't ya think for a badge? But I guess its the only place to get it...
