Okay, so I didn't get to put my Lude up on Jackstands, cause my eg was using them at the moment, but I did find some info about Technical Service Bulletins...
I found, through the FHWA, the list of TSB's for the 97 prelude. In the list, among other things, is a bulletin on the groaning noise, "after starting from a stop".
I'm gonna make an appointment to have the Honda techs look at it. The way my brother explained, was they won't tell you about the TSB's, but if you have a problem that is addressed by the TSB's, then they will fix it for free. I'm gonna see what I can get done for free, as I do all my own work, and I'm not gonna pay some Tech $$$ for something I could have done myself.
