i know there really arent many performance upgrades for these preludes but what are some things people have done. any custom work?

The cheapest mod that will give you good gains is cam gears. Cams and header will next best thing to do. With just cams gears and a punched cat I got into the high 15teens. Rember the cams suck on this version of the b20a. B20a7 puts out about 160hp and it only has better cams.

upgrade to a fourth or fifth gen?
well $/hp id go for it anyway... jk srry man, but there isnt much available for that car.. i almost got one but people on the forums scared me out of it because of a lack of aftermarket support.. well maybe you can find some cams like that kid said.. good luck.
