Default upper rear control arm bushings

ok my 89 ludes upper rear control arm bushings are going out on both sides. i cant find the bushings ANYWHERE. they have every bushing besides those. you can get them if you buy the control arms but thats like $300 for both, when we all know that bushings alone should only be around 20-30 a piece. has anyone had this problem or does anyone know where you can get the bushings alone??

www.autopartswarehouse.com

They're usually pretty good about having things like that.

I see what you mean about them being hard to find! I've looked through just about all the sites I know of and found nothing.
Just a thought here... perhaps there are other bushings that can be swapped (i.e. Civic bushings) that are more easily obtainable. I didn't spend enough time in Germany to deal with the Honda dealers there, but they should know that kind of thing (or at least be able to give you the dimensions if you don't already have them).
BTW, nice to hear from another soldier on here I just finished my TOD eight months ago after a year in Iraq (LSA Anaconda).

anaconda, been there, only through it though. i was in baghdad the whole time, where were you over here in germany?? i think what im gonna have to do is just get them taken off a junked lude. yeah i know bushings off another old car isnt the right answer but might serve its purpose til i get back to the states.

I was in Frankfurt, Germany about 2 months after I finished my TOD (vacation). I deployed from Ft Carson, CO. (4th ID) and they sent us through Kuwait. Originally they were going to charter our flight commercial and send us to Germany before deployment, but that changed to MilAir (sure you know how that goes!).
Ah, Baghdad... I was attached to a trans unit so I got to see a lot of Iraq (a lot more than I really wanted to, honestly). BIAP was getting hit at least as often as Anaconda was...
Have you looked into the bushing kits? Do they contain the ones you need? The reason I ask is because if they do, then maybe you can get ahold of the manufacturer and get just the ones you need.
