Default Can I use my tranny?

I have a 92 prelude with the 2.2L F22b or w/e, and i'm getting ready to put the H22B motor in, and i was wondering if i could use my original tranny on the new motor or do i have to get the one that is the exact compatability with it.

you can use that transmission with a flex plate adapter IIRC

honestly though, i'd look into just buying the full motor with the transmission. that way you'll be sure to have the correct gearing and not the taller f22 gears.

the F tranny has gears that are way too tall and long. the car will still be slow with those gears. go with the H tranny. you'll see.

no sweat, that's what this board is about.

a word to the wise - before you post, always spend a few minutes using the search feature. you'd be surprised how many questions have already been answered a hundred times. honda-tech, especially, has a HUGE archive of old threads with some incredible information.
