Default i have an ecu question.

i have been doing alot of research for the prelude that i am building. something that i am clueless about is the ecu's. i am currently building a h23 vtec motor. i have a 95 prelude se. i need to find an ecu that will work the vtec. i know that the h22 ecu is the p13. but i have been seeing that people are putting p28's and p72's ecus in there h22 swaps. then going with.. skunk2 chips , jun chips, what ever it may be. i do want to get my ecu hondata. so i am wondering which way to go? i hope i am not asking a dumb question here. just on a quest of knowledge.

really you could use any obd1 ecu (p28,p72,p30,etc.) and have it programmed for your engine. if you'll be using hondata, this would be perfect.

if stock P13 if getting chipped or hondata, chrome ETC. P72 all the way because theres little to no aftermarket support for the P13. the P72 has all the proper functions such as I.A.B ,knock sensor that the P28 lacks the P30 has knock sensor but lacks I.A.B of course thats the orginal state and can be added to them if the someone knew what they are doing.

It sounds like im goin a similar route as you. Im building turbo set up for my 99 lude over the winter. I am going to run a HONDATA S200, but I am very unsure as to what OBD1 ecu I should throw in place to run off???

From what I see here...the P72 has all the functions, and supports all the sensors i will need?? and it will work good with HONDATA??
