Never heard of a B20 Vtec.......Might just cost you as much for an H22

no...what i want to do is make a B20 which is not V-tech into V-tech.....the reason i want to is because H22 is super expensive and i think for a head and an ECU will be cheaper i just need to know what parts

you need a b20 block.. and a b16 head.. to make a b20 vtec.. i am sure you have to change some of the gears to match up for the vtec timing belt. but other than that it bolts right up.. i had a friend drop one in his civic..

you need to change the timing gears just for the cams... i am not sure. you have to see if the teeth match up if they do.. then you dont have to change them. but if not... it is just the inner most gear on the crank.. and you will need a new ecu... for the vtec... but other than that.. it was a rather simple swap..

your probably wanting to make the stock motor out of your prelude vtec right? well the B20 vtec motors your hearing about is a B20 out of a crv with a b16 head, or gsr head if you wanted. the motors are a little different. im not too sure what the difference is, just thought id let you know you might not get what you expect out of it. and if your going to do that, you should probably get a b16 tranny too. just my opinion.
