Default 68 Prelude performance upgrades

I have a near mint 86 Relude 2litere.

I would like to add strut bars in front, a little bigger front and rear sway bar and up the beef under the hood.

The hard part is that I am not a kid and patient with my car upgrades.

I would like to do as much as I can, if not all, without really changing the appearance of the car.

For the engine the original owner, whose little brother works for Penske as a crew chief on the ALMS cars, installed a Jackson Racing cam and header,

I would like to up the power as much as I can. within reason. I am not a turbo guy nor do I like NOS...bottles are for babies...this comes from being an old performance car guy here and fronm owning high horsepower muscle cars...Preference being not to change to a different engine but utilize the original engine as much as I can.

Well, anyways anybody that has any info as to what parts I can crossover from model year to model year will be great.

You pretty much never want to put a bigger front sway bar in a FWD Honda unless you want more understeer. Some good performance shocks like Koni yellows would help the handling out. There probably isn't much support for that engine.

Not much that you can do with that one mate, You should probably just leave it alone, and drive it. Get another car to do horsepower shit to, like a Civic, or a newer Prelude 92- 96 are my favorites!

Isn't that an A20A engine? There isn't much aftermarket support for that engine as far as I know... it is a solid engine, but was never ment for speed. If you are really into it, send the cam off to Crane or Crower or some other company for a mild regrind.

I think Golden Eagle makes an adustable cam gear for it.

The B16A intake manifold can be ground down and redrilled to fit if your car is fuel injected.

The old JDM Accord gold top B20A should also fit if you want to swap. They are rare and very different from the 88-91 USDM Prelude B20A/B21A.
