It would be a hassle, but if everyone everywhere, would just put a few gallons in thier tanks everyday, instead of filling up once a week, then the refineries would stay full, and the gas stations would stay full, and gas prices would fall. But that would take a huge effort from joe blow consumer, and most people are to lazy to do such a thing.

I put $20 last night at $2.69 at a Shell. I was shocked to see it so low, but in reality all they are doing is just conditioning us for higher gas prices. These prices are really starting to get WAY out of hand. It's so ridiculous. I wish something would change

shitty thing is is that there is nothing anyone can do about it unless you want to stop driving. its not like the whole nation would ever come together to boycott the greedy bastards! i sure would like to get just me and an oil exec in the same room alone. im not very big but im POSITIVE i could fuck him up! just full of rage

if you ask me this is a good thing. it's forcing america to pay attention to fuel consumption, and indirectly, emissions.

It's been up and down between 2.69 and $3.02 in southern Illinois.

It spiked over 3 for the past holiday weekend.... but they're not gouging or anything....

I have lately been putting the medium grade gas into my prelude. Should I go back to Premium? Does it affect the car in any bad way?

it's not good for it. if you drive gently you can get away with medium, but your gas mileage and performance will suffer. honda reccomends premium.

Oh I see, thanks for your response...but does medium hurt my mileage and performance permanently when used constantly or would the mileage and performance be back to normal once I use Premium again?
For example if I use medium for a 6 month period, then switch back to premium. I ask because in the owners manual it says that i can occasionally use medium if needed, although it will effect my performance, but it doesnt say if its a permanent thing.
