Default Distributor failure symptoms?

Got a late 94 prelude vtec. It has the distributor with the coil pack sat under the rotor arm.
What happens when this unit plays up?
My car has a misfire right across the rev range, but no engine light is on
Has anyone else had to replace their dizzy?
What happened to your car?

I've been running a code 9 on my 92 since i bought the car.....replaced the dizzy and its still there, even though the timing is perfect.....I would consider changing your cap, rotor and plugs and see if that helps....If the dizzy is bad it should throw a CEL

Now i have to spend some money and get a new ECU to see if that fixes my problem.

Nope only goes on one way...and it only takes about 5 mins. Take off the cap and there is a lil screw holding the rotor in place....unscrew it and put the new one on and screw it back in
