Default 4th gen amp ground

Hey, I was curious where the 4th gen folks have their amps grounded. (yes, I know, not audio forum, but it is car specific) I just put in a speaker amp a while ago and found out that my spot of choice wasn't good enough. I'm using that random screw that jutts up right behind the screws of the rear strut tower. I looked under the car and found what it goes to (and forgot obviously) and I remember it being a suspension component, so it's got a lot of metal to ground out to, and I sanded all around the area, but it's still just crappy enough to cause radio noise. I got the connector layed flat enough to get it almost all the way gone, but there's still just enough that it's not perfect. Anyone got a better spot? I'd drill in somewhere, but it seems like almost everything in the trunk is just thick sheet metal, no chassis.
