Hard to say if you don't even attempt to describe the noise. Can you do that please? Also, from your description, it's hard to tell if the noise comes on when you start braking or if it's more speed-relevant.

Edit: Are you running anything aftermarket in there?

The brake rotor and pads are original and I haven't replaced, the car was brand new 2001 prelude. I just fill up gas and drive, I may not happen in the summer, but it will give the noise in the winter I know for sure. Any idea?
If you have the original brakes and rotors from 01....thats been 5-6 years...so i would go get a brake job

The description sounds like metallic creaking. Not what pad wear indicators sound like, but yes, I would change the brake pads if they're 5 years old. Even if it doesn't solve the problem, then at least you have new pads.

You know what? I think i have the same problem! I've googled this so many times and couldn't find anyone else with something similar.

Mines a stock 2001 as well and it happens in winter and goes away when the weather gets warmer. I describe it as a low croaking sound from the right front whenever the nose of the car undips back up from braking hard or going over speed bumps. Another similar sound happens when I'm stopped at a stoplight and release the brakes quickly on the green. Does this sound like the same thing to you?

Anyone have ideas as to what's wrong? Last time I took it to the dealer it went away on that day, oddly enough. I have plenty of brake pads left and rotors should be fine.

Sounds more like the front suspension to me, my 99 does make a bit of a funny noise from the front in cold weather, sort of a creaking sound over speed bumps or when you brake, don't think it's anything to worry about.
