I just got the car recently (almost 2 months), so the fun has yet to wear off :P

However, I will be more careful. The temptation hits a weak spot.

Once again, thank you for the great reply

All 5th gens (1997-2001) are VTEC.

MellowGold, all we are saying is to not rev the engine when it's cold. It's not a good idea to do that with any engine. You know why there's always a 3 or 4 lap warm up before an F1 or NASCAR race? To warm the tires and the engine (more importantly the engine).

Once your engine is up to temp, you really can hit VTEC all you want. We have well engineered motors that are designed to rev at 7 grand - when warmed.

Just have some patience and wait for it to warm up. Besides, if you're trying to drive fast and it hasn't hit the temp to engage VTEC, there's no point as the engine is only making about 150 hp.
