M2B4 could use some help

Default M2B4 could use some help

so i bought a 99 civic with a 97 H22 in it. The problem is i need new axels and the 97 axels for a prelude dont fit. Honda cant seem to track down any info on a M2B4 tranny.. anyone know more about this transmission? thanx

That's the JDM Prelude Tranny, your gonna have some trouble finding axles for it. I think its a 4th gen tranny, so try axles from a 4th gen V-tec Prelude

The M2B4 is JDM and has a limited slip differential (LSD). It wasn't available in the US, so that's probably why the dealer knows nothing about it. Since you have a Civic with a Prelude motor you need the appropriate axels for that swap.

thanx for your information. now any ideas how i could find out what year that transmission might be, or where i might be able to order a replacement?? my transmission has a slight leek so i think there may be a bad seal on the axel.. ??
