Default 4th gen lude rpm climb

i was test driving a prelude 95 s e and i notice the rpm would climb to about 2 1/2 when i just barely tapped the gas......also when i would take off from a light or stop the rpm would climb kinda fast, but only to about 4 1/2 rpm it looked like i was giving it to much gas, but i dont think i was........it only did this in first gear......every other gear felt normal........i am just wondering if all 4th gens do this or is the clutch slipping on this one.......and if it is how much to replace with a street driven clutch......or could it be that i havent drove a stick in a while....????????
