Default 98SH ATTS & Check Engine Light On

Hi all,
New to this forum, hope someone can give me some insight to this prob. I am having.. the ATTS & check engine light went on today in my 98 prelude SH. It has 113,000 miles; never had a problem before(knock wood). I change the oil every 3000 miles but the last two times it seems that the oil is burning quicker than it should. For example, I need to add oil at about 2200-2500 miles...has anyone seen this before? I checked the oil today after the lights went on and I am very very low on oil; its been about 2000 miles since the last change. I am going to add a couple quarts til I can get it to the shop tomorrow and am hoping that the low oil is the reason the lights are on and that I haven't screwed myself....any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!!

Have you had the car scanned for the codes?

5th gen Preludes are notorious for burning oil.

those motors burn oil when you vtec them. you could be losing oil too. have all your gaskets (tube seals, etc, etc) replaced. on those cars i believe those 2 lights always come on together, not sure why. the shop should be able to tell you what's wrong by plugging in the code reader.

From the helms manual:

Recommended oil: Genuine Honda Premium Formula Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)

You must fill the unit seperately.
1.4qts at overhaul.
0.95 at fluid change.
