Default Newbie introduction + 92 prelude f22a1 electical issues?

First off, I would like to say hello to everyone here at Honda-Acura.net.
I hope to be able to bring something to the forums here (besides more problems, although i have those as well). I own a 1984 1.5 liter Honda CRX (my go cart) and a 1992 Honda Prelude f22a1 (el cheapo, the motor, i mean).
The CRX is ok, it has a few bugs, but i'll post them in the crx forums.

Here goes my first post for my prelude:

I had some problems about 5 months ago with the battery dying on me. I recharged it and everything seemed fine, but the very next day it wouldn't start.
I called a car friend (he loves all japanese cars except honda, weird) he said to take out the alternater and have it tested, I did that and it was bad, so I replaced it. Myself (first time). Recharged the battery and everything seemed fine, for a day. Next day (you guessed it) the battery was dead. I bought another battery because i figured it was probably shot.
Seemed ok, for a day (lol). Next day it would'nt start. I really haven't messed with it for awhile though, because my friend, as do I, believes that there is a short somewhere that is causing the battery to be drained. Now we all know how expensive it is to have the dealership (closest Honda dealer is 200+ miles way) find an electrical problem, and i have posted on a couple of other forums about this, in seeking the "easiest possible explanation". Of course those other forums don't seem to have any members anymore.

Anyway, I am sorry for the long post and please feel free to ask for more information. I appreciate all of help and tips.

BTW there is no alarm system (read about alarms draining battery overnight) there is a new stereo (just the head unit though).

You definately have a short or a bad ground somewhere in the car that is draining the battery. I'm as clueless as you are as to where it would be however.

Good luck.
