ok.. 99 prelude ...i got a place that can put in a new gear for my drivers side window..but they cant get the part! what do i do i tried auto zone and i dont wanna go threw the a dealership of course! ...the gear is missing 5 teeth? ..so im assuming something is causeing that but idk it slides up and down the track fine and the motor is strong it just gets about 2 inches from the top and then knocks like crazy

Sorry to tell you this, but you just may have to go to the dealer. OEM parts for discontinued cars are usually only accessable through dealer resouces. I'm finding that out myself (as you can see in my sig our cars are pretty much the same).

also while on the phone with honda, the representative recommended this place out of Alabama maybe that sells all kinda of parts for old hondas, new and used. he had an antenna mast and motor for me for 100$, but i just managed to make mine work.

..thanks for the info guys..but theres a problem..idk the diagram on that site for my window breakdown is missing the main gear on the window..this thing is like 6-7" wide idk how its not there i cant be missing it lol

which part would be the one with teeth on it. does the motor come with that or is it something seperate..this windows pissin me off and if it stops any lower anyone can rob me lol
