Default Carbon Fiber Hood Question

I have done research on both VIS and Seibon carbon fiber hoods and they both seem to be good as far as fitment and quality. I was wondering if anyone had any inputs before I decide to order one. Right now Im considering the VIS OEM. Let me know if you have any good or bad about these. Thanx

I had the ViS OEM hood on my 97, wasn't too happy with it.

Fitment was DECENT
Clear coat started to lightly fade after about 5 months.
Price was nice though.

I have a vis oem. It fits good but theres some imperfections in the weave and it looks like the hood got a rock chip.

I have Seibon and after some adjusting, I got it to fit on perfectly. There is a little imperfection, but it's not that noticable. The shipping was fast. Whatever you get, don't give up too quickly because carbon fiber may look like it doesn't fit but its flexible and with the right hood pins and a little know how it will work out fine. Good luck!

Default Would this hood be just as good as from VIS?

I found this hood on ebay and have not ever really used ebay before. Would this hood be the same thing as one that I would order from kidimports.com? The only reason I ask is the shipping time is fast through this seller and kidimports does not really give an estimate for shipping time. The EBAY hood I found was here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-98...07356750QQrdZ1 Thanx for the input

My brother bought a $99 hood for his Lude off ebay with insurance money from his wreck and it turned out pretty decent. The only place they cut corners was on the frame work underneath the hood. Fitment was pretty good and shipping was fairly fast also. He doesn't have hood pins and it does fine on the interstate. As a added precaution, we sprayed the hood with a couple coats of clear when we painted the car. We also added some pearl on it too.
