Default cold start

what could be the problem if my prelude sounds a little hesitated at cold start? my starter sounds working fine, but if the car is warmed, there's no hesitation if i restart it again. does anyone know anything about this?

I had the same issue, after the first start then it's fine later.I change the fuel pump, fuel filter, engine coolent temperature sensor, and i added cold start fuel treatment to the gas tank ,eventually no result.

coldie coldie...
my mechanics sprayed some intake cleaner, and it does eliminate the rough cold start. but not completely though....

actually spraying the cleaner doesn't change it much. the lazy start-up is still there....is there any way to restore it?

my prelude hesitated to start during warm engine, cold no problem. replace the PGM F1 main relay solved the problem 100%.

although your problem is some how different from mine, i still suspect it is the PGM F1 main relay at fault, it does not work smoothly during different temperature.

you need to replace the PGM F1 main relay under dash. please check the
electrical component locator in the service menu.

it's cheap, so, worth a try.
