Default timing belt

i broke my timing belt on my 2.3 liter DOHC 1992 Honda Prelude on christmas morning (talk about a great christmas present) and now i am replacing it, but i have a little problem. i cant seem to find the timing marks on the flywheel or the pointer. i have checked everywhere and cant seem to locate them. if anyone knows where they might be located or where i could find them, could please let me know. Thanks

Inspect the head before putting that new timing belt on it could end up bein a waste of time, same thing happened to me, so you might wanna start looking for a new engine.

IT SOUNDS TO ME AS THOUGH YOU MAY WANT TO CONSULT A TECH. IF YOU DON'T GET THE BELT BACK ON PROPERLY YOU COULD RUIN THE MOTOR. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT IT IS AT TOP DEAD CENTER ON A COMPRESSION STROKE, THEN MAKE SURE THAT THE CAM GEAR MARKS ARE LINED UP WITH THE CRANK PULLY. THE CAM GEARS HAVE TWO SETS OF MARKS ON THEM. THEN PULL THE RUBBER PLUG OUT AND INSPECT THE MARK ON THE FLYWHEEL. GOOD LUCK!!! BY THE WAY, TIMING BELTS SHOULD BE REPLACED EVERY 80-90,00 MILES, AND THINGS LIKE THAT WON'T HAPPEN.

You See I Had A Simular Problem, Being A Painter And Not A Mechanic, I Did Not Know What I Was Doing, When I Got My Jdm Replacement Motor. I Wanted For Everything To Be Cool, So I Thought Before I Put The Motor In The Car, I Wanted To Put A New Water Pump In So That I Wouldn't Have To Deal With That For A While. Well, I Just Opened Her Up, Took Off The Belts, Replaced The Water Pump, Then When I Went To Put The Belt Back On, It Wouldn't Go. Thats When I Got My Manual Out, And Found Out The Proper Way To Do This. I Wound Up Taking It To A Friend Who Is A Mechanic To Have The Belts Put Back On , Before I Could Put It In The Car. Felt Like A Total Dumbass!!! Ignorance Can Get Expensive!!!:d
