What steps do you guys use when painting the housing of the 5gen headlights into black? plz any DIY thread??

Take them off the car
Warm up the oven to 200 degrees farenheit (celcious is going to be different)
TURN THE OVEN OFF, place a towel so the light isint resting on the rack
put the light in for a few minutes, checkin on it occasionally to make sure its ok
take the light out and try to try it apart with a flathead scredriver.
Once you have it apart its easy, take the peice out and paint to your likeing
Now its time to ut it back together, just put it in for 225 farenheit for a few minutes untill the black athesive gets tacky
stick the peices back together as hard as you can to make a good seal.
if you want run a bead of silicone around the lights to make sure they are weather sealed. Let me know if you have any more questions.

 

Yup, that's how it's done. Slow and steady when prying the lense apart, you don't want it to crack. G/L

One last questions, how do I remove the headlamps for modification. Were are all the screws located..

 

PLEASE can anyone tell me were all the "screws" for the headlamps are? I have to remove the headlights and would love to know how..

you really need to just look and see. Go and start unscrewing, you really can't mess anything up.
