iac ????
Lol...The IAC valve is located behind your valve cover in the middle, right under where it says PGM-Fi on your IM....It probably just needs to be cleaned. While you're cleaning that, you should take your EGR valve off and clean that as well. You can use Carb Cleaner to clean them both
Hi, Im new to the Forum's but I'll give you my experience,
I have a 92 Prelude SI, car was doin the same thing before and after my swap (H23A-F22B), said the problem was IACV, so i switched them over but still the same problem arose, so i took it into the mechanic, and he messed with the throttle screw now everything runs perfect. It's on the underside of your intake manifold, there will be a flat surface with 3 bolts unscrew them and there will be a little "ball", with 2 slash marks on either side, take a flat head screw driver and twist the "slash" marks about half way down so the ball is about half way in between the assembly, and reconnect, this is only a temporary fix, because the spring and gasket will wear down, If this doesnt fix it check to see if you have a vacuum leak in your hoses, if no leak then take it to a "foreign" auto mechanic, and they should be able to fix it, i got my idle fixed and "Main Fuel Relay" switch fixed as well (All 92-96 Prelude owners who live in a warm climate, when it's really hot out and your car won't start thats the problem) for about 150 bucks, but your problem may be different let me know if your interested in my IAC valve assembly, i'll send it to you for free you just gotta put it back together.
