Default Odometer doesn't work

i have a 95 prelude s. the car is amazing but the only thing that i have a problem w/ is that the odometer doesn't work. i don't know what this might be and don't feel like spending a bunch of money on parts and having them not work. can someone please offer some insight on the matter?

That's Odd.

When I had my S, my odometer stopped working out of nowhere. I thought I was going to have to spend a bunch of money on stupid crap. Then about 200 miles later it started up again. It was very strange and it only happened once.

Well, you seem to be lucky. Mine has been on for quite some time and it shows no sign of ever working again.

if the speedo is working fine then it's most likely the gauge cluster, if the speedo doesn't work then the speedsensor in the trans could be the problem also the check engine light will be on with a code 17 .

Does anyone happen to have a gauge cluster that works and would be willing to sell to me?

I found this but don't know if it will work. that is from a 2.3L automatic. I think that gauge cluster is from an Si, whereas mine is a 2.2L S that is a 5 speed. Also, that gauge cluster has a digital odometer, unlike mine. Anyone know if this will work?
