Lowering seat in prelude

Default Lowering seat in prelude

I know someone whos 6'6" and doesnt fit in his 5th gen prelude. does anyone know how to lower the seat?

Why did he get it then? Just playin'. I really can't think of a way to lower the seat because they are already almost sitting on the ground. He could get some after market seats, those usually sit lower to the ground. He might just have to stick his head out the sunroof.

Actually there are several REAL solutions. One requires doing some irreversible welding. The other, which will give you 1'-1.5" of additonal headroom, is to modify the padding and change the springs in the seat cushions. Any trim shop can do this and keep the seat looking original. I had it done in my car by simply replacing the stock springs-got an inch that way.
The final alternative is to do both of the above and -terribly unsafe- tilt the backof the seat about 20 degrees. Again this is not the ideal method and could be very dangerous.
It is unfortunate that many cars are not designed for people in the 6'6" height range. Good luck.
