Default Prelude Security

How safe is our preludes, i have a 99 SH, do i need to worry about it getting stolen, or should i install a alarm? is the factory immobilizer enough ?

If you're really worried about it getting stolen get an alarm. But don't cheap out - try and find a privately owned place that specializes in car alarms and installs. Don't go to Circuit City or some sh1t.

Unless the thieves have a flatbed, the immobilizer should do just fine. If you have other things inside your car you're worried about, get an alarm. But like was said, don't cheap out. You get what you pay for.

viper 671vx is great
got it for my ITR and have slept a many worry free night
also since its in the garage
and i own one very large mofo of a dog

i have the viper 771XV its great. even if they do break into your car they wont be able to start it. has starter kill.

Theres only so much you can do. The immobilizer works good, but I have an auto lock + alarm to back it up.

Have the same one and love it. Oh yeah, get a back-up battery and mini pezo siren too, in case they are smart enough to cut the 12 volt.
