Default Help with Intake

I am trying to replace the intake my 97 Prelude SH came with (not sure what kind it is) with the AEM V2. In the installation instructions it says to disconnect the vacuum hoses and electrical conections that run the IAC solenoid valve becuase the V2 system eliminates these components. Won't disconnecting these cause the CPU to sense a problem and start triggering the CEL?

no it won't.. i also have a 97 prelude sh and i recently installed my v2 intake. it hasn't given me any problems. as long as you put in the plugs for the vaccum hoses you'll be fine.

Thanx. I have been looking for this assembly and the picture in the diagram is not helping out at all. Can you give me a general idea where this is located. Thanx again.

where what is located? if you mean the iac solenoid valve, i'ts almost directly underneath the stock intake... it looks somewhat like a cube, its black, and it has two or three grey hoses connected to it. hope this helped.

Yeah the sound is wicked. Not what I was expecting at all, but I love it. Holding off on the exhuast for a little while now. Decided to have the whole car repainted instead of just the front end (where all the rock chips are). Can't wait to get that done next month and then get back to performance upgrades.
