It had 80 Hp. A little more Tq. I think, maybe about 90 foot lbs.

I had two of those little bishes growing up, and they made great cars for a youngling.

It's all about the condition. You'd want to find out how many stock parts it still has on it.
It's not the easiest thing to do... but if it has good tires, brakes, ignition parts and other wear out parts, I'd say it's probably worth about 500 to 1000. I definetely wouldn't pay more than that.

I'd say you can forget about tuning this car to make it fast, but I can tell you that my 82 was one of the best handling cars I've ever driven. Absolutely no unwanted pitch or roll in the cornering. It's brakes will stop it pretty quick and it will be great on gas, provided it's running right and stuff.

You just have to learn all the little tricks to keep it up to speed. :driving:

Yeah bro. For 450 you're probably doing pretty good. And like I said. This car is a dream in the corners, (for it's age I mean) and it should be great on gas.

Honestly if I hadn't lost my zeal for this car I would like to hook one up a little. I mean within reason of course. Like maybe making it lighter and giving it some good rubber. I'm pretty sure they don't make a lot of performance parts for that old girl, but like you said it's just gonna be a beater. Just don't give up on her. It's farily likely that she'll need some work, but don't they all.

True ^^^. This is a rarity and you gotta treat 'er right! There are more than a few people on this board I'm sure, including me, who would love to have a 1st gen Prelude as a permanent project but are just in no position to buy a second car.
