Default '92 H23 Auto tranny...Problems???Maybe??

My '92 prelude H23's uatomatic tranny is acting weird. It shifts great until you get on it and rather than 'git up 'an go' it kinda downshifts to a way too low of a gear and goes nowhere. just revs in a lower gear. Not a slipping rev, but like a drastic downshift rev if you've ever downshifted from 4th to 2nd while going 55 on accident, then you know what i mean. And another thing, when im cruising about 65-70 on the interstate, my rpm's are around 3-3200...that sounds kinda high....who can give me a little advice??Someone please help...

Not sure about your tranny problem, but 3000-3500 about right for 65-70 MPH.

this is what my old car did. the alternator was bad apparently. when it blew and i replaced it the car ran fine and when you got on it, it would no longer do the downshift, rev out, then upshift without putting power to the wheels.
