Hi, i have a '94 vtec lude and have had for about a year now. The problem I have is a rather optimistic rev gauge! On tick it sits at about 1700revs and jumps randomly to 4,000. I have been quoted £600 odd notes for a new distributor but have so far refused to pay as i believe it is due to an electrical problem. I have to stress that when the revs jump up the note of the engine doesn't change, hence why i am reluctant to buy a new dizzy!!

I'd also like to thank the existing members of the site as i have sorted many a problem out based on the info received from you.

On tick = at idle, yes? The H-series on engines have a quirkiness about the exact amount of air coming into the IM at idle. See if this helps, eh?
