I recently bought a well used 90 honda prelude si . Theres a small red light next to the shifter that flashes for approximately 90 seconds after ignition . The previous owner had no idea what it was for , my guess is a failed security system that one of the previous owners installed...any other guesses?

 

Its the ejection seat safety. The 1990 Honda Prelude came equipped with a passenger ejection seat, kinda like a James Bond car. If that light ever stops flashing after ignition....well, lets say, I just hope your girl ain't sitting next to you.

I kid, take apart the center console and check it out.
