Has anybody done an auto to 5 spd conversion in a lude? i was thinking of doing one in mine but it dont know how tough it will be. Also im not sure what all parts i'll need, i think this is most of it but correct me if im wrong...

There are a number of threads on this. You can expect to pay anywhere from $1500 to $3000 for parts and then labor-just depends on sources.

I know I will eventually swap a 5-speed into mines later down the road. So I only got one question.

After you swap the thing, is there any difference between a auto > 5speed compare to a factory built original 5speed.

Like is there an advantage and/or disadvantage on either side?

Dont forget the gauge cluster. Well not really a big deal but the auto gauges have the shift lever position indicator and the manual does not. The rear motor mount is also different as well, not sure if that will be included with the tranny or not. And of course the shift boot and trim ring.

When I bought my swap, I needed new trany mounts because I was using an earlier motor/trany.
