best way to launch is side stepping.

Care to explain?

I'll look it up and post if you decide not to.

EDIT: for those who did not know:

Basically, "side-stepping" is dumping the clutch by sliding your foot off the clutch pedal sideways, allowing the pedal to come up abruptly under spring tension and engage the clutch quickly; faster than raising your foot normally.

Sounds kinda silly to me. Almost stupid, at that.

hmmm is that effective....it sounds like ur gonna have to rev up and then get some wheel spin....how does this work havocr?

yankee81116 04-05-2005 05:29 PM

i tried this clutch eater stuff at a red light.....it seemed pretty effective to me....i think i revved to about 3k or so then side stepped. the wheels spun for a split sec but then i jumped and went....ima try it a couple more times and see how it goes

Take it to a track that measures your response time and measures different distances and run it several times trying different ways. Compare slips and see what has worked best for you. What feels right isn't what necessarily wins the race.
