this weekend me and a couple friends are going to attempt to install an amp and sub into my 89 prelude. I got the 8 gague wire from best buy, and i ahve everything i need, i just need to know how to do it. If anyone has any sites or suggestions on things that would help me, it would be greatly appreciated..

What exactly do you need help doing?

When I did mine, I took off my passenger side panels and ran the wire through those then underneath the carpet. I didn't want to put the wires in the side of the door like most people, so I drilled a small hole in my firewall on the side of the battery. Then just run it to the battery. It's pretty easy. If I haven't answered your question, let me know.
